Metamorphic Flanders Red

After an average of 29 months aging in our barrel cellar, we’re excited to release this blend of Flanders Red barrels with Oregon Tart cherries and raspberries. This beer began in stainless steel with a variety of rich Vienna and Munich malts and just a touch of black malt for color.   It was quickly moved into red wine barrels with the Roselare blend of yeast, containing brettanomyces, lactobacillus, pediococcus and a sherry strain. Over time the brett and bacteria transformed this beer into a lightly tart, funky, brett forward beer. The cherries and raspberries contribute tart and fruity notes. There is also no denying this beer spent a long time in oak. It all comes together for a complex and flavorful beer. Cheers!
